More New Developments in the Twilight Zone Movie

We just reported here on TGD that Jospeh Kosinski, who helmed Oblivion, may be the director of the Twilight Zone movie, which has been in the works for quite some time. Yes, The Twilight Zone may be headed back to the big screen, and while we’re not sure if it’s going to be in black and white or color, there’s also a new writer coming into the fold as well.

Now Variety tells us there’s a new writer aboard, Aron Eli Coleite, and apparently he’s going to do a new script from scratch. Three other screenwriters have worked on the Twilight Zone movie so far, but according to this report, The Twilight Zone movie will still be one full length story, instead of several stories tied together in an anthology.

Coleite has primarily written for television, including the short lived found footage horror show The River, Heroes, and Crossing Jordan. He’s also written an Armageddon movie called The End that Drew Barrymore will direct.

So we at TGD hope that if the Twilight Zone movie does end up getting made that it’s done right, and that it does honor to the man who gave us the Twilight Zone, the late, great Rod Serling. The original show will always be a timeless classic, and let’s hope the next movie based on The Twilight Zone gets it right.
