Meet the cadets of Hastati Squad.
We’re only a week away from the first installment of the live-action Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn web series, of which a new episode will run each week until the latest iteration of the franchise launches in November. As we’ve previously discussed, Microsoft and 343 Industries are pulling out all the stops with the Halo live-action series.
The series employs quality actors and even has a Warthog that was originally built for the live-action movie Hollywood canceled. So far we’ve seen the official trailer for the live-action series giving us a rough overview of what the show will be like. There have also been a number of other clips providing glimpses of the action we can expect from the show and even one behind-the-scenes video depicting producers and crew filming the show.
A new video posted by 343 today introduces some of the squad members from Hastati Squad Class of 2529, who are fresh out of the Corbulo Academy of Military Science.
The video opens with squad leader April Orenski and then introduces all of the squad members. The clip shows the cadets expressing their opinions and views about the war with the insurrectionists. It’s interesting to note that some of the cadets in the video appear very committed to the UNSC.
However, some the cadets are indifferent, while others say that they don’t agree with certain things. I’m sure the personalities introduced in the short video will come into play throughout the web series which kicks off October 5. Once all of the web episodes are aired, they are slated be strung together in one continuous film that will be available on pay-per-view and via other sources.
