Sony has had an active hand in getting Skyrim’s DLC working on the PS3.The problems with Bethesda’s latest Elder Scrolls title on Sony’s console have become legendary, most recently leading to an admission that the “Dawnguard” downloadable content pack might never even come to the PS3. It was made available on the Xbox 360 three months ago.
In an interview with Kotaku, though, Sony VP Adam Boyes said it is working on fixing these issues.
“We work with all of our partners to try and solve their problems. We have a big, broad dev support team that works closely with Bethesda—and with all of our partners—to work with them to solve that any sort of issues they have along the way,” Boyes said.
The expansion file gives players, among other things, the ability to join a vampire hunting mission with a group called Dawnguard, or they can become a vampire and be a part of the uprising instead.
The Dawnguard expansion pack is chock full of sweet, fresh digital content, providing up to 20 hours of gameplay.
“Of course, I always want everything to work always for everyone. I can’t promise any kind of resolution or timeline but can say that everyone involved is trying their best to get this stuff working,” said Boyes.
