Star Wars fans wondering what’s next for the mega franchise will be thrilled to learn that details about a new game called Star Wars 1313 have surfaced – with additional information expected at E3 2012 next week.
However, we already know the video game is being referred to as a “massive new project,” which reportedly allows players to assume the role of a bounty hunter in the Star Was Universe.
The 1313 number apparently originates on the planet Corurscant, which creative director Dominic Robillard describes as “the most dangerous place in the galaxy.” Indeed, 1313 supposedly makes Mos Eisley look like Chuck E Cheese packed with rowdy grade schoolers.
True, we don’t have any hard details about the character gamers will play, but some information about the title’s setting and third person perspective is discussed in the latest episode of GameTrailers TV.
The video also reviews a number of other video games planned for E3, including Metal Gear Rising: Revengance, Tomb Raider and Guardians of Middle-Earth. Of course, 1313 is probably the game science fiction geeks will want to know the most about.
Personally, I’m not typically a big fan of third-person video games, but LucasArt wants 1313 players to feel the same level of interaction during cut scenes as when assuming the role of the actual character. The first game play footage of 1313 is slated to be unveiled Monday, June 4 on Spike at 10 PM Eastern.
