There’s been a lot of Star Wars news that hit today, and TG will bring you a lot of updates throughout the week, but more than the movie, and who the new characters are, the real big news everyone wants to know about is when are the toys hitting stores?
Well according to The Verge and various other sources, the toys for Episode VII will be coming on September 4. The toys will be out through Disney, who now own Lucasfilm of course, and as they said in a press release, “Products will land in our galaxy on September 4th, 2015 at 12:01 AM,” which Disney is calling Force Friday.
There’s certain to be lines at stores all around the country, and Force Friday will be “a special celebration of all things Star Wars. It will be a day long remembered.”
At the moment, as can be expected, there’s no official word what kind of merchandise we can expect, the Star Wars crew wasn’t on hand for Toy Fare this year, meaning everything’s going to be top secret, and the real thing we’re curious about is what will make more money, the toys or the movies? We’re looking forward to covering Force Friday five months from now, and of course, stay tuned for more Force Awakens news throughout the year here on TG.
