Chris Hemsworth is promoting a new trailer for the upcoming Snow White adaptation, which will be arriving early next week.
Here we’ve already got several images that we’ve never seen before, showing that the queen’s evil magic will take the form of these strange, flying black shards. Hopefully, this is a sign that the actual trailer, when it arrives will show us even more interesting things.
It’s almost amazing how much different the two upcoming Snow White adaptations are, with this one appearing much darker, and more compelling, than Relativity Media’s Mirror, Mirror, which looks like a slapstick parody of the old Disney cartoon.
The official synopsis of Snow White and the Huntsman is thus:
In the epic action-adventure “Snow White and the Huntsman,” Kristen Stewart (“Twilight”) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, “Thor”) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (“Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.
The film, which also stars Sam Claflin, Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, Eddie Izzard, Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, Stephen Graham, Ray Winstone, and Lily Cole hits theaters on June 1, 2012.
