Daredevil is part of Netflix’s big plan to create a new series of superheroes, and with Devil, it’s been off to a great start. The future of Daredevil is looking even cooler because now Elektra is coming to the series.
First reports came in that The Punisher would be coming to the second season of the show, and now Variety tells us that Elodie Yung will be playing Elektra. Yung was in G.I. Joe: Retaliation and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.
On Marvel.com, the head of Marvel TV said in a statement, “After a worldwide search, we found in Eloide the perfect actress to embody both Elektra’s impressive and deadly physicality, as well as her psychological complexity. Paird with Charlie as Matt Murdock, the two will bring one of the most beloved and tumultuous comic book relationships to life with all the accompanying sparks and spectacular action sequences the show is known for.’
There’s still no official debut date for the second season of Daredevil, but with The Punisher and Elektra, we’re willing to bet the next season two will be even better.
