This morning Facebook announced Facebook Fit, a new program geared toward helping small- to mid-sized businesses. Facebook describes the program as, “‘Bootcamps’ to Help Small and Medium Businesses Succeed.”
A post on the Facebook site this morning said, “With National Small Business Week right around the corner, we’re excited to announce the launch of Facebook Fit, a series of five bootcamp-style events designed to help small and medium businesses grow.”
Facebook is teaming up with small business leaders from Intuit QuickBooks, LegalZoom and Square, “so attendees can get tips on finance management, legal services, payment solutions and more. We’re also partnering with chamber of commerce organizations throughout the US representing women and minority business owners.”
“Additionally, attendees will hear from best-selling author Rhonda Abrams and technology expert Mario Armstrong, both of whom are passionate about helping entrepreneurs and businesses grow. Local policymakers will also be on hand at certain Facebook Fit events.”
The Facebook Fit event will travel across the United States, hitting five cities this summer. The events will be held in;
New York – June 3
Miami – June 19
Chicago – July 10
Austin – July 24
Menlo Park – August 5
The event’s only cost $25 and as they say in the business, space is limited so sign up soon.
