It may be a few days before you can sign in to the PS3 online service.
The company has shut down all Playstation Network access after some sort of third-party force had already cut the cord for millions of users earlier this week.
So far no one knows why the PSN was specifically targeted or even who was responsible and how they did it.
The assumption here is this is leaked to the group Anonymous, which has gained notoriety for its anti-establishment stance and the high-profile companies it has been able to target.
The group saw Sony as a target after the company treated hacker George Hotz with disrespect.
Sony has been keeping users up-to-date with continuous updates on the official Playstation Blog.
“While we are investigating the cause of the Network outage, we wanted to alert you that it may be a full day or two before we’re able to get the service completely back up and running. Thank you very much for your patience while we work to resolve this matter,” the company wrote.
