Most greenies, in general, wouldn’t be caught dead on a quad. But what if that four-wheeled, off-road vehicle were running on clean, green electricity?
It would certainly give pause to many a tree-hugger, as the QUAD by designer Facundo Elias does for us.
This concept recreational vehicle (which comes to us via Yanko Design) features a 48 volt electric motor powered by 4 750 ampere batteries.
So set off to explore the wilderness at a bristling speed – you’ve got 3 hours of juice to expend before the QUAD runs out of steam.
That is surely enough to cover more mileage than you would on foot, or even a mountain bike – though an electric version might give this ride a run for its money.
The QUAD takes between 6 and 8 hours to recharge, depending on your voltage, and surely looks as cool as anything you’re likely to encounter off-road.
So go on, greenies, indulge your dreams of high-flying, shredding-yet eerily quiet-off-road recreation.
