Apple planning a secret retail employee meeting

If you believe rumors that spread on well-known Apple blogs, then this one looks, sounds, and smells like a real deal. Apple will reportedly be holding a large meeting with retail store employees to discuss changes to the company’s product offering.

This comes right as speculation has climaxed over the possibility of a new line of Macbook computers, with a new design and specs to bring focus back to the home computer market. Apple has kind of made us all forget that it makes more than just iPhones and iPads.

All employees invited to the meeting had to sign a non-disclosure agreement, but that hasn’t stopped the news from spreading. While no source was specifically named, Ifoapplestore.com reports that anyone who did not sign the NDA will be excluded from the meeting. That would seem like a pretty dumb thing for any employee to do.

Even though the timing would be right to unveil a new Macbook line, it’s expected this meeting will happen next Sunday. Steve Jobs’s birthday is this Thursday, meanwhile, and others believe the new line of computers will be announced then.

So either the secret employee meeting is actually on Thursday, there will be no new Macbooks on Jobs’s birthday, or the Macbooks will debut on Thursday and the secret meeting is for something completely different.

There are other products people are waiting for, like the iPad 2, iPhone 5, and iPhones on other mobile carriers.

Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see.
