The day-long event will take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA, the same site as the famous Coachella Festival, one week after the annual festivities end. Speaking of Coachella, it’s officially sold out. Tickets were gone a mere six days after they went on sale, This marks the fastest sell out period for the festival in its 12-year history. Passes are already making their way onto the online scalping network, the first one posted on January 26th on Craigslist.

Paste Magazine, which suspended its long-running print publication in September, has been acquired by Wolfgang’s Vault, the company behind Daytrotter and Crawdaddy! Under the new acquisition, Paste will relaunch with new digital subscription offerings in March – just in time for the SXSW Festival.Bill Sagan, CEO of Wolfgang’s Vault, said the following about the acquisition: “We have been fans of Paste for a long time and are thrilled to bring their leadership, brand and valuable content and audience into our family. We believe that Paste’s editorial and sales strength will be a wonderful complement to our broad array of music content.”

Derek Miller of noise poppers Sleigh Bells (Mom + Pop) is reportedly in the studio working with Beyonce (Columbia) and producer Diplo (Mad Decent). The producer added that he wasn’t sure if the track was going to get released, or if they were going to finish it. Sleigh Bells confirmed the news on their Twitter but have subsequently erased it. Hoping this news turns out to be true.

Also, Wilco has started their own label, dBpm Records. Press releases have stated that dBpm Records will release all future Wilco releases “and more.” The label will be run by Wilco’s manager, Tony Margherita. “This is an idea we’ve discussed for years,” member Jeff Tweedy said. “We really like doing things ourselves, so having our own label feels pretty natural to me. And, to be working with ANTI- a label that has its roots in a label that was started by a punk rock guy to sell his own records seems like a perfect fit for us.”
