Microsoft Outlook hella loves Facebook

Corporate American drones may become slightly more sociable with a new Microsoft Outlook update that offers seamless integration with Facebook and Windows Live Messenger.

So loosen those ties and wipe those blank expression off your faces!

Yes, now you can add FB friends, view status updates, wall posts and photos – all without leaving that boring Outlook interface.

What’s that, you ask? Why not just log onto Facebook using a web browser?

Well, suits and ties aren’t expected to engage in orgies of frivolity, despite all those urban legends about what Jack and Jill did on top of the photocopy machine.

But I digress.

The point is, buzzing worker bees can now use the Outlook Social Connector to check on their friends while pretending to compose important e-mails to annoying clients.

Or, as MS spokesperson Paco Contreras Herrera so eloquently put it:

“Social Connector doesn’t add another social network into the mix; rather it offers busy people the convenience of accessing them in Outlook,” said Herrera.

“We built the Outlook Social Connector with privacy and security in mind. The information people share is a personal choice, so it’s up to you to determine what you share and with whom.”

Yeah, a Corporate Class hero is really something to be!
