If video games, music, and surprise performances are kind of your thing, the Activision E3 Preview Event was truly the event of a lifetime.
Activision took over the STAPLES Center in LA on June 14th and put on an amazing live show with footage of new video games – like Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and Call of Duty: Black Ops. Highlight of the show? Probably Maynard James Keenan performing “Bohemian Rhapsody” along with a full orchestra and choir. I’m not really sure what could be more impressive than that. Several festivals announced details this week, like the 2010 Voodoo Experience, SPIN25 concert series, and the Sunset Strip Music Festival (all with notable headliners and other musical acts.) Pavement added more dates to their anticipated reunion tour, and Zoroaster also announced tour dates in support of the group’s sophomore album. Been watching the World Cup? Get even more pumped for the games with Weezer’s new tribute video and song to the U.S. national soccer team. Go America!
