PS3 and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto bundle delayed

Xbox 360 owners have been able to purchase Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, a package that contains two downloadable stories from GTA IV, for months. Unfortunately, gamers who prefer to play on another console will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on it.

Episodes from Liberty City contains Grand Theft Auto IV’s downloadable packs, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, as a standalone game. When announced, Rockstar said it would be a timed exclusive to the 360. It was highly publicized that Microsoft paid the publishing studio $50 million for that limited exclusivity.

The game was planned to come out to the PS3 and PC on March 30 in the US, but now it will come out on April 13. Rockstar said Sony Computer Entertainment Europe prompted the delay.

“Due to a last minute game submission request from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe to edit some of the in-game Liberty City radio station, television, and internet content, we are forced to delay the worldwide release of Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City for both PlayStation 3 and PC for an extra two weeks,” it said on its Web site.
