Xtreamer’s SideWinder4 Android (4.2, Jelly Bean) TV box ships with a number of pre-loaded media-centric apps, including XBMC and CheapCast.
The device is powered by an (ARM) AMlogic AM8726-MX dual-core processor paired with Mali 400 graphics.
Additional specs include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, HDMI 1.4, S/PDIF, three USB 2.0 ports, 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11n WiFi, Miracast/DLNA support, 5 channel and 7 channel audio passthrough.
As Liliputing’s Brad Linder notes, you can use the included wireless remote control to easily navigate music, photos, and movies stored on your device or home network.
”You can [also] use XBMC plugins to stream videos from the Internet,” he explained. “Or, you can use your Android or iOS phone or tablet to stream content from mobile apps such as Netflix or Hulu Plus.”
Xtreamer’s $111 SideWinder4 Android TV Box is currently available for pre-order, with an expected shipping date of March 3, 2014.
