Hewlett Packard’s (HP) Pavilion 10 TouchSmart, powered by AMD silicon, is a 10-inch notebook with a touchscreen display and a price tag of $299. The laptop measures 10.7″ x 7.7″ x 0.9″ and weighs 3.2 pounds.
The system is built around AMD’s A4-1200 “Temash” processor, a low-power, moderate- performance chip equipped with Radeon HD 8180 graphics.
According toLiliputing’s Brad Linder, the base model features 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output, an SD card reader, an Ethernet jack and WiFi.
Unfortunately, Bluetooth isn’t included with the base model, although you can customize the TouchSmart 10 (for extra cash) by adding Bluetooth along with a 500GB HDD and an HDMI to VGA adapter.
“HP says you should be able to get up to 5 hours of battery life from a 3-cell battery, which isn’t bad for a $299 laptop,” Linder noted. “[Still], it’s also not exactly impressive for a laptop released in late 2013.”
HP’s AMD-powered TouchSmart 10 sells for $350 at HP.com and $299 at the Microsoft Store.
