HP’s recently debuted Chromebook is equipped with a 14-inch display, Intel Haswell chip and $300 price tag. The revamped Chromebook is actually HP’s second ‘book with a 14-inch display.
However, as Liliputing’s Brad Linder notes, the new HP Chromebook is powered by a 1.4 GHz Celeron 2955U Haswell chip and features up to 9.5 hours of run time, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, an SD card slot and an HDMI port.
In contrast, the earlier iteration of HP’s Chromebook only packed a 1.1 GHz Intel Celeron 847 processor and offered up to 4.25 hours of battery life.
“[Still], the weakest link might be the display,” writes Linder. “While the Chromebook14 has a bigger screen than any other Chrome OS laptop, it’s just a 1366 x 768 pixel display.”
