It’s always amazing to see how thin-skinned people in Hollywood can be. It takes an enormous amount of slogging through the trenches to get anywhere, and you’d think it would make people in Hollywood stronger, yet it’s still full of whiny babies. Whether Ben Affleck is like this in private or not over his Batman casting, he’s certainly putting up a brave front in public.
Affleck is certainly aware his casting in Batman Vs Superman has not been welcomed warmly by much of the world, but as E! reports, he told Jimmy Fallon he’s “a big boy,” and “very tough.”
Affleck added when he was approached about playing the Dark Knight, he thought, “Well, I’m not 25, man. Are you sure about this?” Warner Brothers also warned him well in advance that the geeks would be gnashing their teeth, but Afflecks’s certainly went through plenty of media bashing ten years ago when his life became a non-stop J Lo circus.
Now that Affleck’s the father of three, he added, “Every kid should see their dad as a superhero, right? It’s so awesome, man. I’m so excited.”
Once again, we’re definitely not holding our breath on this one. We absolutely have our arms crossed in doubt, and have a chip on our shoulder the size of Texas regarding all this, but we’re still open to be surprised. Go ahead Warner Brothers, impress us.
