Hardkernel has debuted two new uber-mini quad-core dev boards.
The ODROID-U is based on Samsung’s Exynos 4412 (which powers the Galaxy S3) and clocks in at 1.4 GHz with 1GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the ODROID-U2 is built around the Exynos 4412 Prime (found in the Galaxy Note 2) and clocks in at 1.7 GHz with 2GB of RAM.
Both of the above-mentioned chipsets are paired with an ARM Mali-400 GPU clocked at 400MHz (ODROID-U) or 440MHz (ODROID-U2), which can be overclocked respectively to 533 and 633 MHz.
Additional key specs include a heat sink, a microSD socket, eMMC connector, 2x USB 2.0 host ports, 1x USB 2.0 device for ADB/mass storage, ethernet – 10/100Mbps (LAN9730), micro HDMI video output, a 3.5mm Jack and digital mic (ODROID-U2 only).
Hardkernel says it will provide images and source code for Android Jelly Bean as well as Ubuntu, along with schematics.
