The Android tablet market is awash with a plethora of devices, with most boasting similar hardware and software specs.
Clearly, price has become the primary differentiating factor in the lucrative, yet highly competitive space.
On that note, Nextbook recently debuted a 9.7-inch tablet dubbed the Premium 10SE with an official MSRP of $279.99 that runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). Even better than the low MSRP is the fact that the Nextbook is also available at Radio Shack and other locations for a reduced price of $250.
Your $250 will get you a tablet with a 9.7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display (1024 x 768 resolution) that supports five-finger multitouch interaction, a 1GHz CPU paired with 1GB of RAM.
The tablet also features an integrated G-sensor that allows the screen to auto rotate depending on how the tablet is held. Internal storage is 8 GB, and the tablet is equipped with a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
Wi-Fi connectivity is built in, and the tablet features a front facing 0.3 megapixel camera. The tablet is also packaged with 25 preloaded digital books and can act as an MP3 player, photo viewer, and an integrated speaker for audio playback. The internal battery is charged via a USB port, and the tablet is capable of over the air firmware updates. The Premium 10SE also supports the playback 1080p high-definition content on external devices.
The tablet ships with the AC power adapter, USB cable, a user’s manual and a protective pouch.
