Say what you will about Microsoft and in-house game developers 343 Industries, but those guys sure know how to hype a franchise like Halo.
As we all know, Halo 4 is due this November. Personally, I have to confess that I’m not as excited about the video game as the accompanying Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn live action series.
The first installment is slated to air on October 5, 2012. In an effort to build up fan enthusiasm for the web series Redmond and 343 have been offering up a series of trailers and teaser videos, with the most recent clip titled “Joyride” hitting YouTube today.
Joyride shows a cadet stationed at the Corbulo Academy who sneaks the general’s special Warthog out for spin in the woods near the base.
They end up flying through the forest and even cut a few doughnuts before returning to base. As the two cadets try and make their way back unnoticed, they get busted by a commanding officer who just stands there giving them a dirty look that says: “You gonna pay.”
If this video gets you excited for the live action series, check out the official full-length trailer for the live-action series above. In don’t know about you, but each time I see a new trailer or video, I hate Hollywood for canceling the Halo movie just a little bit more.
