Pandora has rolled out a major upgrade for the mobile Android version of its streaming online radio app.
The latest verison – 1.7 – adds a number of new features that users are sure to appreciate, such as a revamped UI and easy browsing of listening history.
Tracks can be reviewed, rated and bookmarked, with the upgrade now offering accessible streaming of relevant data – include artist biographies, track information and recommendations based on your music history. Oh, and yes, perhaps the sweetest feature is access to full song lyrics.
The new update for Android is important for Pandora, as over 70% of the platform’s streaming is done via mobile devices. As you may recall, the first Pandora app for Android rolled out in 2009.
While all the new features are certainly welcome, the biggest change in the update – according to Pandora – is making the Android version more in line with the HTML 5 iOS app experience.
In addition to redesign and new features, the most current version of the app implementsl bug fixes and enhancements.
The latest iteration of Pandora is curently available for download on Google Play free of charge. You can download it here.
