LEGO has been making a lot of deals lately for super hero sets, expanding well beyond the few characters available last year, and even the dozen or so on the market in 2012.
Indeed, next year’s lineup will be even bigger, as it will include mini-figures and sets from the major heroes and villains of both DC and Marvel, and not just the ones who are currently in the theaters.
We’ve got detailed images of twenty-two the new mini-figures from the various super hero lines:
2012 saw the introduction of the front line members of DC’s Justice League (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern) and Marvel’s The Avengers (Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow) and a few of their major villains and support characters.
In 2013, we’ll get an even bigger roster of new figures, even some which have only just recently been revealed as being important to the future of their comics lines, like Nova and Beetle. Of course all these great new mini-figs won’t stand alone. There will be plenty of kits for the figures to be packaged with alongside the mini-figs already released in this and past years.
Exact dates and further details about the sets and their lines will be announced over the coming months.
