Marvel has released a set of promotional images showcasing the upcoming release of its Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled 10-Disc Limited Edition Six-Movie Collector’s Set.
The set is pretty impressive, packaged in a metallic S.H.I.E.L.D. case which opens to reveal a replica of the Tesseract from the films.
How much it actually ‘glows’ is unknown, but I’m pretty sure that’s just a dramatic photo effect, not an accurate representation.
Also in the box are 10 blu-ray discs in sleeves with unique art from minimalist poster designer Mathew Ferguson and a pile of dossiers.
The discs are thus:
- Marvel’s The Avengers (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
- Captain America: The First Avenger (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
- Thor (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
- Iron Man 2 (Blu-ray)
- The Incredible Hulk (Blu-ray)
- Iron Man (Blu-ray)
- Bonus Disc – “The Phase One Archives” (Blu-ray)
The specific features of the bonus disc have not yet been announced.
Also released was this video introducing the set to fans, though it provides little actual info about the pack:
Here’s a nice look at the wrap-around art for the Blu-ray sleves from the Marvel website:
