If you happen to be a fan of the cheesy classic horror flick Evil Dead, you’re probably already more than familiar with the game Lollipop Chainsaw.
True, the title really has nothing to do with Evil Dead – other than killing zombies with a chainsaw. The game looks really cool though, and we talked about it back in February when we discussed how Lollipop Chainsaw was created by James Gunn, who penned Dawn of the Dead and several other movies.
Two separate Lollipop Chainsaw videos surfaced this week.
One of the clips is an official trailer, while the other shows actual game play footage, which appears to be for the PS3, at least judging by the button icons that appear on the screen.
The game play feels more like a classic fighting title than your typical hack and slash RPG – even if the hero of game, a teenage cheerleader in a short skirt named Juliet, jumps around flipping and killing zombies with her chainsaw.
At various points in the fighting action, an icon will appear on the screen telling you to press a button repeatedly to perform special moves like hacking a zombie in half. The video shows one particular special move that some of you will no doubt appreciate – as Juliet swings around a stripper pole hacking the heads off various attacking zombies.

The official trailer for the video game shows Juliet using a number of weapons other than a chainsaw, including guns and what appears to be a grenade launcher.
Lollipop Chainsaw recently debut on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. The developer of the game is Grasshopper Manufacture, and the publisher is Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment.
