Prometheus, which explores its own mythology and is not directly linked to Alien, hits theaters on June 8, 2012 via 20th Century Fox.
The film – probably one of the most anticipated genre events of the year – is directed by sci-fi veteran Ridley Scott and written by Jon Spaihts, along with Damon Lindelof.
Prometheus also boasts a star-studded cast, including the sexy Noomi Rapace (from the original Swedish version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Logan Marshall-Green and Idris Elba.
Although June is still a few months away, Scott has done his best to keep fans happy by releasing a slew of teasers, trailers and images. While there is certainly no substitute for actually watching Prometheus on the big screen in a theater, I’ll certainly take what I can get in the meantime.
