For example, FIDO is a portable, yet powerful detector capable of identifying explosive residue on vehicles, buildings and people.
Meanwhile, HIIDE assists in the precise identification and efficient search of people via biometric methodology.
“The new equipment makes searching people go faster and more accurate,” Sgt. Nike Ferzacca told the US Army website.
Indeed, the use of biometrics helps Army squads expedite the often tedious process of identifying individuals who may pose a potential threat.
It also allows American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan help save lives by efficiently tracking “persons of interest” who either aid or act as insurgents.
