Despite Tesla polishing up their image, electric cars aren’t the sexiest cars to drive, but that could change very soon. Aston Martin, best known for its star appearances in James Bond movies, has announced an electric powered model for 2017.
Aston Martin is a synonym for power and luxury, to live up to their reputation, CEO Andy Palmer announced at a Bloomberg conference in London
We’re talking about an electric Aston Martin with between 800 and 1,000 horsepower—imagine having all that torque on demand
That is a lot of power, nearly twice as much as the actual, gasoline-powered, Rapide.
The company has not revealed any details, but the new model will be an all-electric version of the Rapide sports car.
For SUV fans, Palmer also announced plans for an electric powered crossover, based on their concept car, the DBX.
