Google tarts up its Translate tool

Search engine behemoth Google has brought a number of new features to its Translate tool.

One major feature is that it will translate instantly while you type, rather than pressing the Translate button.

It’s also offering a feature that will romanize languages with different scripts, such as Mandarin or Hindi. The feature works for all non-Roman languages except for Hebrew, Arabic and Persian.

There’s also a neat function that lets you transliterate features typed phonetically, if you don’t know the particular script.

And when you translate into English, you just need to click the speaker icon and it will read it out to you. Currently, Google Translate supports 51 languages.
