MSI slims down its notebooks

Notebook vendor MSI said it will introduce two further “slim” laptops this quarter.

The two machines are the 14-inch X-Slim X400 and the 15-inch X-Slim 600 – MSI has already released another model in the range, the X-Slim X340.

The 14-inch X-Slim X400 weighs 1.5Kg while the 15-inch X600 weighs 2.1Kg. Both are slightly less than an inch thick, and come with Blu-Ray support. The X600 also includes a discrete graphics card.

MSI didn’t say how much these machines cost, nor which CPU they boast, but the existing X340 uses the Intel Core 2 Solo ULV microprocessor.
