Maingear Computers has debuted a Vybe gaming rig powered by AMD’s recently introduced Phenom II X6 processor.
According to Maingear CEO Wallace Santos, the ($1,000 base price) rig allows users to exploit AMD’s Turbo Core technology which dynamically transfers performance to three dedicated cores operating at a higher frequency.
“These three turbocharged cores automatically give you the extra speed you need for intense gaming sessions or advanced content creation tasks,” Santos explained in an e-mailed statement.
“The latest Vybe [rig] also incorporates ATI Radeon 5000 series graphics with DirectX11, [while] the AMD 890GX chipset features SATA 6Gb/s and USB 3.0.”
Unsurprisingly, the new Vybe gaming rig has already been endorsed by Leslie Sobon, AMD’s VP of worldwide marketing.
“The Phenom II X6 empowers gamers and creative professionals with elite performance and visually immersive computing,” said Sobon.
“The Maingear Vybe integrates a complete platform of AMD technologies for a fantastic computing experience.”
