Kingston launches a really, really pricey memory kit

Chicago (IL) – When was the last time you thought a memory upgrade for your PC is expensive? Kingston is now offering a 12 GB triple-channel high-performance kit that is not exactly the $50 update you pick up on the side at your local Best Buy.

The kit consist of three 4 GB DDR3-1600 MHz modules, which are aimed at owners of Intel Core i7 systems with X58 platforms. Rated at a latency of CL9-9-9-27 (1.65 volts), the new kit is the firm’s flagship offering that is offered for a suggested retail price of $1400. The company also offer a 3 GB and 6 GB package with frequencies up to 2 GHz.

Kingston said that the memory kit was tested “with great success” on the Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard.
