The ex-president of Google China has claimed that Apple’s upcoming tablet device will feature a 10.1-inch screen, webcam and an “awesome UI.”
“The Apple Tablet looks like a bigger iPhone that sports an awesome UI packed in a beautiful 10.1-inch screen,” Kaifu Lee wrote in a blog post translated by Gadget Mix.
“The tablet combines the functions of both netbook and kindle, an ebook reader. It has virtual keyboard for text entry and a webcam for video conferencing.”
The above-mentioned specs are similar to those provided by ITIC analyst Laura DiDio, who opined that the future Apple tablet would boast a 10-12 inch screen with “stunning resolution,” a high-end graphics card and webcam.
“The tablet will change the game. Apple will throw down the gauntlet at the competitors, and force them to follow along,” said DiDio.
Meanwhile, AppleInsider recently reported that Club Cupertino “had plans” for a virtual keyboard with a dynamic surface that would offer users tactile feedback when typing in order to identify individual keys.
In addition, iPhone developers were reportedly told to prepare their apps for an upcoming demo that would run at full-screen resolutions, rather than the standard 320×480 iPhone format.
