Dell has confirmed that its long-awaited Streak tablet will be available for US priority pre-sale on August 12, with general availability following just a day later.
The device is priced at $300 with a new, two-year AT&T contract and $550 without.
A Dell spokesperson told TG Daily that customers who purchase the tablet and sign up during the pre-sale program will receive a free second-day shipping upgrade.
In addition, Streak owners who redeem their pre-sale coupon can purchase a Plantronics Bluetooth earpiece for 99 cents.
The Dell Streak is a carbon black, Android-powered tablet that features a Snapdragon 1GHz processor, 5-inch display, Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth capabilities.
Additional specs include:
- 5 MP camera and VGA front facing camera.
- Removable battery.
- 2GB of internal storage.
- UMTS / GPRS / EDGE class 12 GSM radio with link speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps.
- Stores up to 42 movies or 32,000 photos, 16,000 songs with a 32GB Micro SD upgrade.
- Easily integrated social media apps: Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
