…And Hackintosh for All

Hey now! Axon Logic is touting an $800 tablet slate. Yes, that does seem a tad expensive, right? But what if you could run OS X on it?

Well, we suspect that just might change everything.

Sure, Club Cupertino’s stringent EULA prohibits the unauthorized installation of OS X on a non-Apple-branded computer.

Fortunately, the unfazed Axon offers users the choice of loading a number of operating systems on its versatile Haptic tablet, including Linux, Windows, Pure Darwin and yes, the ever elusive Snow Leopard.

“We’ve installed Darwin (kernel and specific kexts) and a hidden EFI partition. That means you can effortlessly install your favorite Darwin OS, such as Pure Darwin,” the company explained on its website.

“Just plug in the DVD or Flash drive, install then reboot. [Yes], Apple’s Snow Leopard is a Darwin OS, however the EULA specifically prohibits the installation on a non-Apple-branded computer.”

Now, how’s that for an OS tease?
