Good ol’ XDA hackers have managed to cram the latest version of Android into the original Nexus device. Yup, despite the fact it’s released back in 2010, the Nexus One can run Android 4.4 KitKat.The AOSP-based update was made by XDA Recognized Developer “texasice” and his team. Aside from the basic Android build, it also comes with few additional features to enhance the functionality of the ROM.Alas, there are some problems: the new ART compiler is broken and should not be used because it causes bootloops.
