The high-end Kupa X15 UltraNote is currently available for purchase at a starting price of $1100.
The X5 UltraNote can best be described as a rather advanced Windows 8 tablet with a number of tricked-out feature we first discussed a few months ago.
The tablet is offered in four different versions, with all sharing certain basic specs, including
a 10.1-inch screen (1920 x 1200), 8 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, front and rear cameras, and support for both finger and digital pen-based input.
The Kupa X15 UltraNote lineup is also equipped with removable batteries, which is rather uncommon in the tablet market. A version of the device with 64 GB of storage via a SSD and an Intel Core i5 processor is available for $1100. Other available models offer up additional storage with 128 GB SSDs, Intel Core i7 processors and optional integrated mobile broadband.
The tablet can also be paired with an optional docking station, which features an integrated keyboard and battery, along with VGA, Ethernet and USB ports.
Apparently, you can’t just click the buy button on the Kupa website if you want one of these tablets; you have to e-mail to inquire about purchasing. The tablet seems priced high to me, yet it does boast hardware more often seen in your typical notebook or ultrabook.
