Hawking still in hospital, but “comfortable”

London (UK) – Scientist Stephen Hawking has not been released from hospital as previously planned, Camdridge University said in a statement released today.

The theoretical physicist and mathematician was rushed to hospital yesterday and underwent “tests” that apparently were related to a chest infection Hawking had for several weeks. Following yesterday’s note that the scientist is “very ill”, the university said that he is now “comfortable” at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

A Cambridge University spokesman added that the 67-year old professor is expected to make a “full recovery”.
