On Henry Cavill and Freida Pinto

Henry Cavill may have been a bit bummed that Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot was pushed back six months to June 14, 2013, but the man who is playing the ultimate superhero says he is “really raring” to go.

”It’s exciting, humbling, and about time to get started,” Cavill told MTV.
”It’s fantastic. That’s all I can…. It’s one of the best scripts I’ve ever read.”

According to Cavill, filming has already begun in Chicago.

“It’s going really well. It’s just everything you dream of as a little boy to be that hero,” he told Access Hollywood.

“I mean, I’m sure there’s some little boys that dream of being villains, but it’s fun to be the hero because you get to win! Yeah, just that! It’s escapism, it’s fun, it’s fantasy, it’s story telling.”

Although the Man of Steel was obviously under strict orders to keep his Superman comments to the minimum, Comic-Con attendees were delighted to hear Immortals star Freida Pinto talk about playing the the Greek priestess Phaedra and her interaction with Cavill in the upcoming adventure film.

When asked about filming an Immortals sex scene with Cavill on the first day, Pinto insisted she wasn’t embarrassed in the slightest, even though both actors were told to just “get into bed.”

“How can it be embarrassing?” Pinto asked rhetorically. “It was with Henry.”

Pinto added that although she had to watch what she ate in preparation for the movie, her male co-stars were forced to follow a much harsher diet.

“I just felt bad for them… I would see them and offer them fruit and they’d say, ‘No, we can’t have fruit.’ And I’m like, ‘Fruit? Fruit’s healthy!’ And they’d say, ‘Yeah… but it’s sugar.'”

Immortals (with Cavill and Pinto) is slated to hit theaters on November 11, 2011, while Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot (with Cavill) is scheduled for June 14, 2013.
