It has to truly be getting close to when Star Wars will start shooting, because news is breaking out everywhere fast and furious. These reports are coming from legit sources, and here’s some more news on the progress of the next Star Wars film.
Disney has officially announced that the movie is shooting in May, and the story will take place thirty years after the events of Return of the Jedi. As Robert Iger, the CEO of Disney promised, “There will be some very familiar faces along with a trio of new young leads.”
As we know by now, the original three of Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford, are all coming back to the Star Wars series, and casting should be complete on the new characters very soon. As Iger continued, “Rumor has it that almost every actor in the world has been cast in this movie, but so far, the official cast member that we’ve confirmed — the only one – is R2D2.”
The next installment of Star Wars will shoot mainly at Pinewood Studios in London, and it’s still slated to be released on May 18, 2015.
