Christopher Nolan Launches His Next Film; Christian Bale Offered $50 Mil to Replay Batman?

Both director Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale have sworn they’ll never go back to Batman, and Nolan has already started shooting on his next movie, Interstellar, his science fiction epic about wormholes.

Interstellar is due for release for November 7, 2014, and it stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, Wes Bentley, Ellen Burstyn and Michael Caine. According to Variety, the shoot has begun in Alberta, Canada, and according to an official thumbnail synopsis, Interstellar is about “the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.”

Right after reports of Hugh Jackman being offered a king’s ransom, $100 million, to do four more movies as Wolverine, reports have also surfaced that Christian Bale has also been offered a ton of dough to play Batman again in the next Man of Steel movie. According to Business Insider, Bale is being offered $50 million for what would reportedly be about twenty minutes in Batman Vs Superman.

Once you read the reports a little more carefully, this is actually speculation as to what he could make for the film, and as we all know, Bale and Nolan have sworn they’re done with Batman and won’t go back. It’s certainly fun to speculate what somebody could be making for a movie role, kind of like playing fantasy Hollywood agent, but definitely don’t hold your breath on this one.
