Gameloft will be coding a number of Xbox-enabled titles for Microsoft’s recently launched Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system.
A total of 12 titles in the Gameloft catalogue have thus far been confirmed by the studio, including The Dark Knight Rises, Asphalt 7: Heat, Ice Age Village, N.O.V.A. 3: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour.
One of the cooler aspects oft playing these video games on the Windows Phone 8 platform is that users will be able to connect with their friends and follow scores via Xbox leaderboard’s while earning Xbox Achievements. Persinally, I think the most interesting title is Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour game. As you may recall, we discussed the title back in September when it was first teased with an official trailer.
Other titles that will be offered for Windows Phone 8 gamers includes UNO and Friends, Shark Dash, TexasPoker for Prizes and Fashion Icon. As noted above, each of those games is being optimized to support play-pause-resume via Xbox Cloud Storage. Meaning, you can begin playing the game on your smart phone and then resume the game at the same point on another Xbox connected mobile device.
Several of the games available in the lineup for Windows Phone 8 include multiplayer modes, such as Asphalt 7: Heat, N.O.V.A. 3: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, Order and Chaos Online, UNO™ & Friends, TexasPoker for Prizes and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour.
