So Ghostbusters is getting a new twist where they’re all going all female in the next movie, but there’s still apparently plans for a male Ghostbusters as well.
As Uproxx reports, screenwriter Drew Pearce, said that a male ‘Busters is still in the works. “I’ve finished my work on that in the last couple weeks,” he said. “Obviously it’s top secret, but there’s a gigantic bold idea that I came up with.”
Also working on the next ‘Busters are the Russo brothers, who directed Captain America: The Winter Solider, are working on the film as well, “Obviously I cannot tell you what [the idea] is, but hopefully in one year’s time you’ll know!”
Hell, why shouldn’t Ghostbusters be coed? Obviously Columbia has great faith in the next Ghostbusters, because there’s clearly plans for more movies after the franchise is rebooted next summer. Look for the next Ghostbusters, with an all-female ‘bustin’ team, on July 22, 2016.
