I love, love, love this pop-up blocker! First of all, I want to thank the developers of this AMAZING app. It’s so easy to use, and it definitely made my life (LOL) easier. I’m a researcher so there are a lot of sites that I visit. Actually, there are plenty more sites I visit on a free time! There are sites that are really good, but I hate the fact they have these ads and pop ups, and they don’t care that they’re wearing us (visitors) out.
So, I have here an example. It’s Smart Insights. It’s one of the sites I would visit from time to time because I write for web. An overlay still opened but that’s OK! Because I actually just clicked on “Did we miss one?” and reported it. The next time I visited that page, I don’t see the overlay anymore. I used to try to be patient with these ads, tbh, but there were times that these things just really test my patience. I am so tired of having to wait for each damn pop ups to finish loading so I can close it. There were times these pop ups would even close one of my windows. Tsk tsk.
This year, Google stepped forward and warned the sites, especially popular ones, from inundating their visitors with pop ups. Surprisingly, it helped. However, some less-popular sites that are just as relevant to researchers aren’t listening. That’s why Poper Blocker for me is gold. I don’t have to click and click and click (on irrelevant pages argh!). I can make the most of my time, and I can finish reading and absorb the content on a page without hassle.
I’m so happy to have found you Poper Blocker. Btw, I found this app on Chrome Web Store. It can be installed as an Extension. It works right away, and you can change the Settings if you want. I actually have included a bunch on my blacklist already haha.
There was a time I visited a site, and the pop ups literally drowned me, I had to close the page just to make it stop! The sad thing is that the page has a link that leads me to another page where I can view the content that I want. I was so frustrated. To make the story short, they didn’t work for me. I ended up uninstalling the pop-up blocker (if it ever were) and moved on. I tried using other pop-up and ad blockers, but the stubborn windows are still there for some reason only they (developers) will understand. They failed big time in helping me clear my vision (lol).
So, when I saw this app, I noticed TechRadar commented on it. I trust TechRadar, and I often refer to them for latest news about gadgets as well as their reviews on the latest technology. Another review is by Ghacks.net.
I like that this app is working quietly in the back. I know it’s working even without the warnings and notifications (yes, others ended up spamming me). The fact that I don’t see pop ups at all just proves it works.
I rarely write a long review, but this is so much worth it. I love what you did here, dear developers. I love it so much I just had to leave a note here. Thank you, Poper Blocker team! You helped me a lot, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks so.
