Tesla has made big moolah from its electric vehicle Tesla Model 3 that nobody’s seen. The Elon Musk-owned company is working overnight to get its project on the road by 2020, but who’s going to wait that long?
That’s exactly what BMW asks in their ad, asking buyers not to wait and get their latest hybrid vehicle part of the 3-Series instead.
But the crack BMW took at Tesla doesn’t really make any sense. After all, the Model 3 is an electric vehicle and their 330e is a hybrid version. Everyone knows that those concepts are completely different from each other, but that clearly wasn’t in BMW’s brief.
Also, the people signing in to pre-order would have known what they were signing up for before putting their money on the Tesla Model 3.
Speaking of the BMW 330e, the car’s got a 2.0-litre turbo engine and a 7.6kwh battery pack capable of hitting 248 horsepower.
Interestingly, the brand BMW is mocking didn’t need to spend its money on making ads to market the Tesla 3 and were still able to garner around 400,000 pre-orders for a car that hasn’t even been made yet.
