A US company, Ascent Solar Technologies (tick:ASTI) said it has release a set of flexible thin-film photovoltaic modules to the marketplace.
The FlexPower series comes in modules for the building integrated photovoltaic market, for the mobile market, and for the defense market.
The building modules – FlexPower Light – come as a five meter roll that delivers 123 watts with the intent to fit them into building surfaces and for large area installations.
The mobile range is designed for the electronic integrated photovoltaic market, optimized for 12-volt batter charging and can be supplied in capsulated or uncapsulated form.
The Defense module is a durable and deployable range which Ascent says is designed for superior power density and to provide independence from supply lines.
