Some time back, there was talk of a Star Wars TV series, but it regressed into the background once we knew another three Star Wars movies were getting made. Now there’s talk again that a Star Wars TV series could come to pass, along with the sequels, stand-alone films, and more.
Uproxx and Cinelinx reports that Disney hasn’t given up the prospect of getting a TV series going, a la S.H.I.E.L.D., and supposedly according to this report, the series may shoot in-between the release of the movies, and that way you could use the same sets and save money.
Funny enough, the Star Wars Holiday Special was created as a way to bridge the gap between Star Wars movies, and maybe a series could do this as well for the sequels, with the understanding they’ll be infinitely better than the Holiday Special of course.
So is this going to be Star Wars overkill, or is there no such thing as too much Star Wars? Again, we’ll see how they do with The Force Awakens, and then we’ll decide how excited we are about more Star Wars movies, TV shows, video games, etc.
