At first there were only a few Android PCs-on-a-stick powered by the impressive quad-core Rockchip RK3188 processor.
We mentioned one of them last week – the MK802 IV – which features the above-mentioned Rockchip SoC and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
Now word has surfaced that yet more Android-powered minicomputers are on the way, boasting the same powerful processor and Android 4.2 operating system combination.
According to sources cited by Liliputing, new devices using quad-core processor will be ready to ship by April 7. The devices were designed by Chinese manufacturer Ugoos and there will be two versions: the UG802B and UG007B, with a third product briefly mentioned.
As expected, the UG802B and UG007B are quite similar and designed to plug directly into a TV or another display using an HDMI connector. One of the devices is reportedly a virtual twin to the Rikomagic MK802 IV and the Tronsmart T428.
The new UG802B is equipped with 2 GB of RAM, 8 GB up to 16 GB of built-in storage, integrated Wi-Fi, a single full-size USB port, a single micro USB port for power and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
The UG007B is almost identical – but features a pair of micro USB ports and integrated Bluetooth 3.0 along with a hardware reset button.
A third new product that will use the same quad-core processor is called the MK809 III. Unfortunately, no hardware details are yet available for this particular iteration, other than it will use the same quad-core processor.
