Retail chain Best Buy is insisting that people applying for market jobs already have 250 Twitter followers. Oh, and a university degree.
According to Revolution , the company wanted a senior manager based in Minnesota with at least two years of mobile or social media marketing experience, a year’s of active blogging experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and… 250 Twitter followers.
Revolution reckons that Best Buy CEO Brian Dunn is a Twitternut, and is already encouraging investors and customers to get a-Twittering pretty damn quick.
But Dunn only has around 1,700 Twitter toadies so far, a small number compared to some Twitter-egoists.
